"Not much sightseeing has been happening here in London, mostly just cat business and catching up with friends. There are so many of them here, I had no idea. This is a bar that my friend Ben’s band, Tape the Radio, played in, Houxton Bar and Kitchen. Nothing big going on, just beers and boxed sandwiches."

LONDYN - pełen niespodzianek

Przylot do Londynu przebiegł bez żadnych niespodzianek...
Ale już życie w takim mieście jakim jest brytyjska stolica to dla Amerykanina ciągłe niespodzianki. Wszechogarniająca zieleń, parki,  małe samochody i lewostronny ruch drogowy, pałace na każdej ulicy. No i królowa.... można zwariować!

Podróż czas zacząć!

Sonya już wyruszyła...
 Zaczęło się ok 11 godzin temu, kiedy my kładliśmy się spać.

Pierwszy cel: LONDON

April 20th-ish

LAX to Heathrow -

Me, two cats, and one bag. We fly to London and hang out with my friend Sunnah for a week. Then I leave crying, but knowing the cats will love living with Sunnah until my return. I will have to prep Sunnah for the endless email requests of cat photos she will be receiving for the next two years.

Sonya nie wyruszyła jeszcze w podróż, a ma już pierwsze kłopoty.
Problem polega na blokowaniu przez Chiny oraz inne kraje Azji serwisu Tumblr, na którym Sonya ma blog.

"I just realized Tumblr is blocked in China and many parts of SE Asia, which would effectively leave me with no means of blog communication for months, so I hooked up a website and have spent the last two days designing something simple with iWeb ‘08. It’s turning into a huge mess because it has all these quirky little issues for daily posting and coding that ends up being a tedious nightmare every time you want to add to the site. It looks like I’m going to have to learn Dreamweaver in the next 4 days in order to have an operational blog in place before I leave."

Przypominamy, że do wyjazdu zostały 3 dni.

"I forgot to tell you guys; I got both the Russian and Chinese visas, no problems. I think they like to make the application process extra scary so you can be appropriately excited when it all goes over without a hitch. This is my visa photo. What do you think, do I look sufficiently generic? The Russians said I could not be smiling, and must have a neutral look on my face, so I guess that means none of those party photos where you’re mock blowing kisses at the camera then? Aw, shucks.
I’m getting excited for my train trip through the Gobi desert in Mongolia, and apparently it’s snowing in Moscow right now. I don’t even own a jacket."
