OMG, Mongolia! I’m smitten. We got off to a rough
start. Within the first few hours of my arrival I had my ass grabbed and
was kicked by an elderly drunken man screaming “Mongolia!” but after
getting out of Ulan Bator city limits, all is forgiven. This place is
amazing.
I’ve got so much floating around in my mind after
nine days bumping around on dirt roads in a military van with five other
people. I wish I could download it instantly into your brain. I can’t
get into the proper headspace to organize it all on a page in any
cohesive manner. We’re leaving for another tour tomorrow
morning, seven days into the Gobi desert. I think I will have to wait
until I get back to submit my report on what’s been going down. For now I
will just be brief and tell you that my new passion is peeing outdoors.
I think it’s wonderful. You should too. Come to Mongolia, you’ll fall
in love.
I’m sending out a million kisses and trusting one
or two will find you. I hope you’ve got your mojo working and that
you’ve enjoyed the weekend. I’ll talk to you soon. xoxo.
