| Jeju tries to sell the island as the Hawaii of South Korea, so they started planting palm trees all over hoping to convince everyone that it’s paradise. Here is a palm tree farm. Almost paradise. |

| One of my new friends works as a landscaper at Kimnyoung Maze Park. To trim the hedges he has to get on a pair of stilts! It takes him about three weeks to do it all. That’s a lot of stilt time. |

| I got a good talking to from a friend about how I’m going to regret never having myself in any of these photos. It’s true. When I’m unshowered and unfashionable, it’s hard to want to see myself in photos, but in years to come I know I won’t care about all that. I’m making an effort to not let vanity win. Hopefully I’ll get better at it. Today I took a nature hike on the island, hike Olle 6. Here I’m having a rest on a breezy, tree covered hilltop. It was wonderful. |
